The ULI Advisory Panel consisted of land use and real estate experts from within the membership of the Urban Land Institute. Prior to the panel dates, the panelists received briefing materials summarizing the land use, economic, transportation, environmental and demographic profile of the corridor. Panelists spent 5 days in Los Angeles (May 16-21, 2010) meeting with stakeholders and touring the subject area. They interviewed nearly 100 individuals in private interviews. They spent two days framing recommendations, writing a draft report and preparing a presentation. They presented their findings on May 21, 2010 at the Kyoto Grand Hotel.
ULI has been conducting Advisory Panels since 1947 providing sponsors with detailed strategic advice on difficult local land use issues where an “outside point of view” is an important step in realizing a vision. Panelists are some of the most senior and informed land use, real estate and policy professionals in the business and will include developers, planners, architects, economic development experts, land economists and market analysts.
