ULI '07-'08 Member-Get-A-Member: 
NEW Rules and a NEW Grand Prize

When you recommend a colleague to join ULI, not only are you helping them advance their career, you may be one step closer to huge ULI-savings for yourself or your organization. The ULI Member-Get-A-Member (MGM) program has yielded over 12,000 members over the past five years. With your help, we will end this year's campaign at the ULI Fall meeting in Miami with over 3,000 newly sponsored members.

Not only have the rules changed to get you closer to our Grand Prize, but the Grand Prize has also changed. Earn 10 or more Award Points and you get a year's worth of ULI expenses covered, PLUS you will also be entered in the Grand Prize drawing. The Grand Prize winner can choose from one of four prize options - all valued at $10,000.  All you have to do is persuade people to join ULI - one of the world's most prestigious real estate organizations. Knowing all that ULI has to offer to real estate and land use professionals, how difficult could that be?

AWARD POINTS and PRIZES!

New members are assigned a point value based on the type of member you recruit. The points are tallied for each MGM sponsor, and prizes are awarded according to the schedule below:
Full members =2 points
Member = 1 point
Young Leader = .5 point

PRIZES:
Earn TWO award points - Receive a ULI golf shirt.
Earn SIX award points - Receive a free registration to a ULI meeting or conference of your choice. (District Council events, workshops, and the World Cities Forum are not included.)
Earn TEN award points - Receive one year’s worth of ULI activities at no charge AND a chance to win the grand prize (Grand Prize details below). You will receive one additional chance at the Grand Prize for every ten points you earn.*

Member-Get-A-Member (MGM) Contest Rules

• To be counted, you must be a member in good standing with dues fully paid; your name and/or membership ID number must be entered on the “WHO RECOMMENDED YOU FOR ULI MEMBERSHIP” line of the membership application each time a new member joins on the Web or through the mail, and given each time a new member joins by phone.
• *The membership categories of Private/Public Member, Private/Public Full, and Young Leaders will be counted; Full members =2 points; Member = 1 point; Young Leader = .5 point. Student memberships are not counted in the award point total.
• Awards will be distributed on a quarterly basis; standings will be published on ULI’s Web site. Complimentary registration for District Council events is not included.
• Only one golf shirt will be given to each member during the dates of the 2007-2008 MGM contest.
• European members can elect to receive a book certificate, valued at 30 Euros, in lieu of a golf shirt.
• ULI staff members and District Council Executive Directors/Coordinators are not eligible to participate.
• Awards are not transferable.
• Information regarding rules for the 2007-2008 MGM Grand Prize drawing will be released at a future date and time.

Grand Prize Details

Once your earn TEN Award points, your name will be entered in the Grand Prize Drawing. The winner will have choice of one of FIVE Grand Prizes. The prizes are:

Prize #1: ULI Library, which includes all of ULI's printed books and new books for the next three years.

Prize #2: Registration, airfare, and hotel room for a ULI Domestic or International conference*

Prize #3: Registration, airfare, and hotel room for a ULI Fall or Spring meeting*

Prize #4: Twenty hours of research by ULI’s research staff

Prize #5: Free, full-page, 4-color advertisement in Urban Land Magazine**

* Airfare includes economy seating. Hotel fees include room charges only and are only for the duration of the meeting.
** All advertisements must be approved by ULI's editorial staff
