How Do I...

Login to my account?
You can use either your ULI ID number or E-mail address and the password you use to access the ULI Web site. If you don't know your password, click the "Forgot Password" link, enter your E-mail address on the next page, and an E-mail will be sent to you with a link to reset your password.

Update my profile?
Select My Profile from the menu at the left to access your personal profile page. Next to each section will be a link marked "Edit." Click on those links to edit those portions of your online profile.

Change my password?
You have the opportunity to change your password by clicking the "Edit" link on the Contact Information box on your profile page.

Manage my E-mail preferences?
To subscribe or unsubscribe from E-mail topic areas, click on My Profile, then select "Manage My E-mail Preferences" from the Membership Information column on the right side of the page. You will see a list of topics. To deselect a topic, click the box next to it to remove the check mark. When you are satisfied with your E-mail preferences, click "Confirm".

Control who can see my contact information?
You have the option to mark certain types of your contact information private and specify which groups can see that information. The privacy options can be set when you edit your contact information–just check the box marked "Make Private."

Find a member?
You can search the membership directory either from your landing page at My ULI, or by clicking the Membership Directory item on the left menu. You can do a basic search, which will search all the fields in a member's profile and return the most relevant results at the top, or you can do an advanced search to restrict the search to certain fields. You can also narrow your search results by using the values in the menu on the left. 

Find a meeting or event?
You can search for meetings or events either from your My ULI landing page, or by clicking the Find Events item in the top menu. The basic search will search all fields in an event record and return the most relevant results, whereas you can specify which fields to search using the Advanced Search function. You can also narrow your search results by using the values in the menu on the left. 

Download a meeting or event to my Outlook calendar?
Next to each event on your My Event calendar is an Outlook icon in a column marked "Add to Outlook." If you click on the link, you will be prompted to open or save the file. If you select open, it will automatically open an Outlook calendar item with the event information. If you would like to download all the events from your My Events page to your Outlook, Yahoo, or Google calendar, you can use the "Export All Events" link at the bottom of the calendar.

Just click on "How do I do this?" for instructions on downloading the events. Register for a meeting or event? To register for an event on your My Event calendar, just click the "Register" link next to the event. If the event is not on your calendar, click the Event Registration link at the top of the page.

Add a project to my profile?
There are two ways you can add a project to your profile.

The first is through your My Profile page. From the Project Profiles box, select "Add a Project." This will take you to the project entry page, where you can fill in the specified fields.

To add images to your project profile, select "Add an Image," fill out a title and description (not required), and then click "Browse" to locate the image file on your hard drive. When you've located the image, highlight it and click Open.

To upload the selected image, click "Upload." You can also add a project directly through the My Project Portfolio page. Just click "Add a Project" to start building a project profile. You may add up to five projects to your portfolio.

Customize my landing page?
After you log in, you will see a link in the upper right hand corner of the main content area that says "Customize My ULI." When you click on this link, you'll be able to choose the features you would like to add to your landing page.

The current choices are:
  • My Groups–adds a listing of the ULI committees and advisory groups of which you are a member.
  • My Events–adds a calendar to your landing page that highlights the events you have flagged as of interest to you and events you have registered for.
  • Recent Publications–adds a listing of new books, articles, and reports on the ULI Web site that are in your interest areas.
  • My E-mail Updates–allows you to subscribe to or unsubscribe from ULI's E-mail lists.
  • My District Council–adds a link to your local District Council.
Select the checkboxes next to items you wish to add to your landing page and use the drop down box underneath to specify whether you want to add them to the left column or right column. Internet Explorer users can drag and drop features from one column to the other to rearrange the order of items on their landing pages.
