Jeremy Newsum, a member of ULI since 1997, is the Executive Trustee of the Grosvenor Estate. The Grosvenor Estate, based in the United Kingdom, is a portfolio of businesses, rural estates and other investments, including Grosvenor, an international property group of privately-owned property development, investment and fund management businesses.

Grosvenor, with property assets under management of $20 billion, has interests in Central London, other areas of the UK, continental Europe, Southeast Asia, North America and Australia. From 1989 through June 2008, Newsum was also Group Chief Executive of Grosvenor.

Newsum, 53, is a UK citizen who lives in Cambridge, England. He is a member of the Council of Imperial College, London and the Advisory Board to the Land Economy Department at University of Cambridge and has been a member of the Board of Advisors to the Mayor of London on the Olympic 2012 Legacy.

Todd W. Mansfield is chief executive officer of Crosland Inc., a position he has held since July 1999. Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., Crosland is one of the most prominent real estate development companies in the Southeast United States. At the company, Mansfield’s focus is directed toward the optimal investment of the company's financial capital and development of its human capital. His experience creating unique destinations has resulted in Mansfield being recognized for his place making ability. 

From 1997 to 1999, he was managing director of Security Capital Group in London, where he launched and operated a private equity investment fund with a $1.5 billion equity capitalization. The fund acquired seven real estate operating companies in the parking, self-storage, office and residential sectors in Europe and Australia. Todd was a member of Security Capital's five-person operating committee, which oversaw investments in 19 private and publicity-held operating companies with a combined capitalization in excess of $20 billion.

Architect and urban designer Marilyn Jordan Taylor is known for her passionate involvement in the design of urban projects and civic initiatives, as well as for her exceptional leadership on some of the most complex public and institutional projects around the world.

An expert in using public space and infrastructure to shape urban districts and civic places, Ms. Taylor leads SOM's Urban Design & Planning practice, including such projects as Columbia University's Manhattanville Master Plan, the East River Waterfront Master Plan, the reclamation of Con Ed's East River sites for mixed-use development, the new research building at Memorial Sloan-Kettering, and the new urban campus for John Jay College. Ms. Taylor also founded and leads SOM Airports and Transportation.

Ms. Taylor serves as a member of the Singapore Urban Redevelopment Authority's International Advisory Panel of Architects and Urban Planners and the Penn Institute for Urban Research Advisory Board. Ms. Taylor was educated at Radcliffe College, MIT, and the University of California at Berkeley, where she received her Masters in Architecture. She joined SOM in 1971 in the firm's Washington office and was elected Partner in 1985. A long-term member of the firm's Executive Committee, she was also SOM's first woman Chairman.

Frampton Reflects on Lessons Learned

Frampton is a senior partner of East West Partners. East West Partners specializes in real estate development and is currently developing resort properties in Vail, Beaver Creek, Summit County and Denver, CO, Lake Tahoe, CA, and Charleston, SC.  Harry is a principal of Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate and East West Resorts.

Harry began his real estate career with Sea Pines Company, Hilton Head, South Carolina, serving in various capacities and ultimately reaching the position of Executive Vice President and member of the Board of Directors. In 1976, he became President and a majority stockholder of The Brandermill Group in Richmond, Virginia. From 1982 to 1986, he was President of Vail Associates, Inc., the creators of Vail and Beaver Creek mountain resorts in Colorado.

Harry holds a graduate degree in economics from Clemson University, has taken graduate studies in business administration and is a graduate of Harvard University's Small Company Executive Management Program.

Harry is Chairman of the Board of the Vail Valley Foundation, instrumental in organizing and supporting the 1989 and 1999 World Alpine Ski Championships, the Bolshoi Ballet, the World Championships of Mountain Biking, and former President Gerald R. Ford's World Forum. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Urban Land Institute, and a Board Member of the FirstBank system of Colorado. Harry is Chairman of the Vilar Center Arts Foundation Board. Harry is a Board Member of the Clemson University Foundation. Harry was active with Young Presidents' Organization and currently active with CEO. 

A native of Hartsville, South Carolina, Harry and his wife Susan reside in Vail, Colorado. Their eldest son, Christopher, is a graduate of Davidson College in North Carolina and Matthew is a graduate of Duke University.
