Building Great Communities Through Great Streets: ULI Team Offers Ideas for Reviving DC’s Challenged Corridors

The District of Columbia can help transform some of its most challenged corridors through its “Great Streets” program by using careful infrastructure funding prioritization and effective leveraging strategies to ensure that the areas targeted are rebuilt as social and economic hubs that encourage a constant flow of people, rather than automobiles, according to a “blue ribbon” team of nationally acclaimed land use and urban development experts assembled by the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
