Daniel is the Manager Awards and Publications with the ULI Education and Advisory Group. He is responsible for managing several awards programs including the ULI Global Awards for Excellence program, the ULI Urban Open Space Award program or the J.C. Nichols Prize for Visionaries in Urban Development. He also coordinates research and manages book development projects on a range of topics related to land use, real estate development, and urban planning. In addition he provides support for other ULI Education and Advisory Group projects such as the ULI Advisory Panel Services or the Gerald D. Hines Student Urban Design Competition.Daniel has an extensive track record dedicated to built environment initiatives including project management, community participation, sustainable neighborhood development, disaster preparedness and response, cultural engagement, freelance reporting, and art proposals. Prior to joining the ULI Daniel's work included independent consulting in urban culture and visual communication, project management for the American Institute of Architects Center for Communities by Design, and planning and urban design for Skidmore, Owings, and Merill LLP.Daniel holds a MSc in City Design and Social Science from the London School of Economics, and an undergraduate degree from the School of Architecture and Spatial Design at the University of North London.
