ULI Community Initiatives provide ULI members with leadership opportunities to inform and influence land use decision making that promote sustainable development in their communities.
Programs
75th Anniversary Urban Innovation Fund (formerly known as Community Action Grants) – Venture capital/seed money for innovative community outreach projects led by ULI members and District Councils.
Content Interchange – Quarterly conference calls/webinars for members of District Councils, Product Councils, and ULI staff to exchange insights and best practices in ULI priority areas.
Reality Check – Reality Check and follow up initiatives led by ULI members to guide better regional planning and sustainable development.
Smart Growth Alliances – bringing together diverse stakeholders to promote smart growth and sustainable development policies and practices at a regional level.
Technical Assistance Panels (TAPs) – ULI District Council Advisory Services program that offers strategic land use advice to public entities in their communities.
UrbanPlan – an education program that teaches high school and university students about development and planning issues through a real estate development simulation classroom exercise.
Urban Marketplace – a one-day event with exhibits and programming that convenes for profit and nonprofit development sectors in the community.
ULI Daniel Rose Center
The mission of the
ULI Daniel Rose Center for Public Leadership in Land Use is to encourage and support excellence in land use decision making. By providing public officials with access to information, best practices, peer networks, and other resources, the Rose Center seeks to foster creative, efficient, practical, and sustainable land use policies.
